This program is designed to equip preschool teachers with the necessary skills for effective teaching and planning. The objective of this program is to enable students to transfer educational/child development theories into practice which provide wide-ranging, multi-media and developmentally-appropriate learning experiences to young children; enable students to be skillful in observation and to apply their knowledge of child development to design a learning environment that meets the needs of each individual child; present to students with a variety of early childhood approaches which facilitate a creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum; enable students to collaborate with fellow colleagues, parents and other professionals in supporting children's cognitive and affective development; help students design, implement and evaluate learning environment and activities based on the curriculum framework and desired outcomes of preschool education. Students who successfully complete all modules will be awarded the diploma in early childhood care and education - teaching by Learning Capital School of Higher Education. Students can proceed to pursue the diploma in early childhood care and education - leadership.

Applicants should have completed GCE “O” level credits in five different subjects, including at least a B4 in EL1.
